Sony cuts PlayStation 3 production cost in half

In a recent article in Business weekly, Sony has apparently been able to trim produstion cost of its PS3 to almost half. It was noted that Sony wwas able to "shrick the PS3 chips and tweak its design" which can drive cost down to around $400.00 far from the $800.00 it cost to produce when it wwent on sale November 2006. According to Nikko Citigroup Kota Ezwa, the larger factor was on the imporvement of the "reduction in the parts count". So this may be great news for those of you that are on the fence of a PS3. Can you say further price cut?
