While $129.99 is the new official price, some retailers are offering the Xbox 360 HD DVD player for even lower prices. Best Buy is offering the player for a low $119.99 on its online site.

Bloggers Notes: HDDVD is pretty much dead. If you are looking for a cheap alternative to watch HD Movies on the new HDTV you just purchased it may be a temporary solution. The down side would be if you amass a HDDVD library you will have to eventually switch to the current leader in HD physical media Blu-ray. And start an all new HD movie library.
