Are Game Critics Unfairly Targeting the Sony PS3?

According to Metacritic.com the Sony Playstation top 150 games have a total combine rating of 70.74% whereas the top 150 top rated games for Microsoft Xbox360 has a total score of 91.16%. That is an incredible difference, does this means that all fanboys are right Microsoft's Xbox360 has an overall better game library than the Sony PS3. The answers is yes and No.

Towards the end of the holiday season of 2007 Sony PS3 began to pick up momentum and has started 2008 on a positive note. The Sony Playstation 3 has sold a total of 2,655,775 total units since 01/06/08-4/13/08 worldwide compared to Microsoft 1,922,975 total units worldwide according to Vgchartz.com.

For PS3 to conquer all in the coming years Sony needs to release great tiles for the Sony PS3. Microsoft Xbox360 top 20 rated games has an average score of 91.2% Sony top 20 games has an average score of 87%. This year will change many negative perceptions that has weight heavily on the Sony PS3.

This is a list of how things will change this year for Sony and how the critics will do a 360 with their love hate relationship when the year is over.

• With many Publishers choosing the Sony PS3 as a lead platform this will change the way critic review and perceive future Sony PS3 games.
• With many High Quality Sony PS3 exclusive arriving this year will help with the positive reviews and also sales. (Quick take of upcoming Sony PS3 exclusives : Metal Gear Solid 4, Twisted Metal, Haze(may be a time exclusive), Resistance: Fall of Man 2, Grand Truismo 5 Prolong, SOCOM confrontation, LittleBigPlanet, Killzone2, MotorStorm2, Tekken 6, Metal Gear Online and Final Fantasy XIII)
  
• Time is a great component to being great. As developer spend more time with the Sony PS3 their learning curve will be greatly diminished and their ability to push the Sony PS3 to its limits will change the way we look and interact with future games.

Sony PS3 has a total of 8 games that has a score of 50 or less Microsoft Xbox360 has a total of 35 games with scores of 50 or less compared to the Nintendo Wii which has a total of 26 games with a score of 50 or less. The Sony PS3 still has less crap games than Microsoft Xbox360 and the Nintendo Wii overall.
