EA: PS3.5 and Xbox 360.5 before next generation

EA top brass has officially/unofficially spilled the beans about Sony plans to release a new Sony PlayStation 3.5. Speaking at a games business conference, Hilleman said both Sony and Microsoft had taken so long to get the PS3 and Xbox 360 onto shelves in the first place, that releasing a next–gen model soon wasn’t worth it.

“I expect we’ll see a PlayStation 3.5 before we see a PlayStation 4 and an Xbox 560 before we see an Xbox 720,” he said.

It all makes sense since it took Sony and Microsoft ages to release there next generation setup boxes. Plus with the release of Moco for PS3 and Natal for 360 there is at least three more years before this generation ends.
