BioWare working on Future Sony PS3 Title or Titles?

BioWare will show Sony PS3 some love eventually but in what form will that love come in? Gamasutra has a great interview with Ray Muzyka, founder and CEO of BioWare.

Since Bioware is now owned by Electronic Arts, EA will have to make money on their investment. EA spent upwards off $650 million dollars to buy VG Holding Corp which owns BioWare and Pandemic Studios.

So the Magic question is what is BioWare currently working on? Is it Mass Effect for Sony PS3? Or could it be a total original IP for Sony PS3. Right below are two very interesting questions posted by the Christian Nutt over at Gamasutra to Ray Muzyka that has me scratching my forehead.

"This was originally a project on the Xbox with Microsoft, but it's now with EA on PC. That isn't a prelude to saying, "Come to PS3," because that's your business, and I know you know what you're doing, but have you guys worked with the PS3 at all? Or have you studied it as a development platform and whether it's worth moving into, whether it's for this project or another?

RM: We haven't announced any future plans on Mass Effect, as to what the future holds. We're just focused on PC, in terms of what we're talking about. But we're working actively with the PS3 now, yeah, and the 360 as well. And we're exploring Wii, and the DS we're rapidly working on as well."

The first sentence to Mr. Muzyka answers leaves a lot to be interpreted about future plans of Mass Effect on Sony PS3. He does not say that Mass Effect will never come out for PS3 It just was not announced yet! . "We haven't announced any future plans on Mass Effect, as to what the future holds"

"That's right. You're working on Sonic for DS.

RM: We are actually working on PS3 stuff. I think we said that before a bunch of times. That's something we're rapidly exploring. We haven't said what we're working on, but we're excited about the platform. I think it's a great platform. The 360 is a great platform, and I think the PC is a great platform. So are the Wii and the DS."

The second question Mr. Muzyka first sentence "We are actually working on PS3 stuff. I think we said that before a bunch of times" his answer reiterates that BioWare is currently working on something or things for the Sony PS3. Mr. Muzyka mentions the DS only once when the question was about the Nintendo DS. Very interesting I would say! Would there be an official announcement at E3? Would we see a surprise BiowWare title before the Holidays hit? Only Bioware and EA knows this, but if I was betting man I would make the wager in a heart beat.
