Square-Enix have today announced that Final Fantasy and Final Fantasy II will be coming to the PlayStation Network on the 16th of February and the 2nd of March respectively, both priced £7.99!

That isn’t all though, in a move that can only be described as “pretty cool”, people who purchase DISSIDIA 012[duodecim] for PSP will recieve a pack in code that entitles the user to a 50% discount on Final Fantasy. People who purchase The 3rd Birthday (also on PSP) get a code for 50% discount for Final Fantasy II. Both are for PlayStation Network purchases online.

Final Fantasy XIII gets a release date

After weeks, no months or better yet years of teasing, Square Enix has just revealed that Final Fantasy XIII will be out in UK and US on 360 and PS3 on March 9, 2010.

A new video has also gone live, which reveals that X-Factor winner Leona Lewis's song, 'My Hands', taken from her upcoming second album 'Echo', will serve as the theme song for the US and EU versions of the game. There's tons of new gameplay footage in there too. Video after the jump....

Friday 13th November/...Square Enix Ltd., the publisher of Square Enix interactive entertainment products in Europe and other PAL territories, announced today the highly anticipated street date for FINAL FANTASY XIII. Leona Lewis took the music world by storm with her 2008 6x platinum debut album Spirit which features her chart topping, biggest selling single of 2008 "Bleeding Love," and mega-hit "Better In Time."

Final Fantasy XIII Could Move 500K+ PS3s In Japan

Will it's no surprise that the PS3 slim has been selling like a dream around the world and especially in Japan. With Sony selling 150,000 PS3 in the first week coinciding with the release of a new Gundam Game.

Enterbrain prez Hirokazu Hamamura said at today's Foreign Correspondents' Club of Japan that he expects the PS3 to sell around 500,000 units over the year end sales period.

Square Enix and Sony's plans for a PS3 bundle with Final Fantasy XIII packed in is sure to help that number, which, for the record, would represent about 15% of the PS3's sales to date in Japan.

Final Fantasy XIII will ship on December 17th in Japan, a date just recently confirmed by PlayStation supreme commander Kaz Hirai.

Square confirms FFXII Release Date

It's no secret that the PlayStation brand and Final Fantasy series fate is intertwined to be part of a great legacy. SquareEnix has recently, announce that franchise blockbuster RPG FFXIII will be release just in time for very important holiday season, the official release date being December 17th 2009 in Japan.

According to Kotaku, reported that Square-Enix CEO Yochi Wada is hoping for a quick translation turnaround for FFXIII, as he stated "In the past, it's taken a year or half a year to release our games abroad, but this time we are aiming for an international release this Spring".

There's no surprise that we would be seeing Final Fantasy XIII a few months after the launch of the PS3 Slim for only $299.00. This beloved bitter sweet marriage between Sony and SquareEnix has emerged to help give Sony a great boast that they desperately needed.
