Move.me brings PlayStation Move development to your PC this Spring

Sony's Move.Me is a server application that runs on the PS3 system. It allows anyone with a PS3 to experiment with motion controls and is officially sanctioned and supported by Sony Computer Entertainment," John McCutchan, senior engineer with SCEA’s Developer Support team, wrote on Sony's official blog. "Move.Me sends the complete state of the PlayStation Move and navigation controllers to the PC, giving you the exact same data that licensed developers typically have access to."

The software will be available for download via the PlayStation Network this spring, but you can also apply for early access if you'd like to get started on your project ahead of time. What can you expect from Sony's scholastic efforts you ask.  Well, here goes a list of things Sony seems that may fit the Move's foray into the edu-game space.

  • Games and tools that support kids' physical fitness and nutrition.
  • Kid-friendly programming interfaces for computer/technology classes or individual learning.
  • Physical therapy and rehabilitation.
  • Sports physiology or fitness training.
  • Music and the creative arts.

50 plus 3D titles being develop for PS3 and SCEE is working on 20

So the cat is out the bag, Sony's secret weapon in the war for our living rooms resides in the stealth 3D firmware update Sony dropped over the summer.

SCEE's studio director Mick Hocking told Develop-online "Okay, well I can say that overall we have more than fifty titles currently being converted into 3D, and this number if growing fast. I can tell you, games are leading the way when it comes to the driving the whole 3D revolution."

And when ask: Do you have internal projections on how many developers are going to embrace 3D? "Well I’ve got a list right here, and as I said we’ve got more than 20 games internally, and more than that external."

From Mr. Hocking's statement, it looks like Sony has 20 3D exclusives up their sleeves.  Can you begin to guess what they are?  Besides; Killzone 3, Uncharted 3-D(yeah you heard it first here at NanoGeekTech) , Syphon Filter(you heard that hear first too) and Resistance 3-D.
