Uncharted 2 unloads over a 1 millon copies

While Modern Warfare 2 is fragging the sales charts and the competition these days, Sony has quietly announced that Uncharted 2: Among Thieves has sold over 1 million units on the PS3. However, the number isn’t confirmed with NPD, so we will have to wait and see. But for a game of Uncharted 2’s quality not to already sell millions of copies, being the most anticipated PS3 title this holiday season, seems a bit dishearten. What are you waiting for PS3 owner's show Naughty Dog some love and pick up Uncharted 2.

How to: Uncharted 2 Freezing Here's your Fix

There have been isolated issues of Uncharted 2 Freezing

I have read a few comments and articles online referencing a minor hiccup with Sony's fall blockbuster Uncharted 2 freezing at the beginning or towards the end of the game. I believe there's a solution to this minor nuance.

If you have downloaded a PSN game and by some chance, there was any interference in your download, your file will become corrupt and Uncharted 2 will not load or play. So if you are experiencing problems with Uncharted 2, first make sure all your downloaded content is not corrupt and also check to see if any movies that you may have copied onto your PS3 is also not corrupt. If a PS3 file is corrupt, you will see a display of a broken square(plus the PS3 prompts you that your file is corrupt). Delete the corrupt files and Uncharted 2 should be as good as new. Please let me know if this helps and if there is still any issues with Uncharted 2 freezing.

Uncharted 2: 3rd fastest-selling PS3 game "Ever"

These latest figures provided by VGChartz confirms that the amazing sequel, Uncharted 2: Among Thieves is the 3rd fastest-selling PS3 game in the U.S. The only two games to have beaten it are Metal Gear Solid 4 at two and Grand Theft Auto IV at No.1.

Sales in other countries of the game are as follows, 47,000 units were shifted in Japan on its first day, with sales expected to reach 60,000 - 65,000 by the end of the week. There are no specific sales data for Europe, but week once sales should achieve around 400,000 - 500,000 sales.

Uncharted 2 Demo PSN numbers will amaze you

Uncharted 2: Among Thieves demo hit the PlayStation Store about a week ago, and Naughty Dog could not be more pleased with the reception that fans have shown for the game. Apart from getting downloaded more times than a Brittany Spears crouch shot, the demo has amassed a hard to believe playing time that has is equivalent of 27 years. "WTF"

• Total Number of Treasures Captured – 1,860,645

• Total Amount of Money Earned – $38,841,367,350

• Total Time Played – 9,905 days (or 27+ years!)

Currently, Uncharted 2 holds the record for most downloads for a demo on its first week on the PlayStation Network, and its likely that it will go on to become the most downloaded demo ever. Evan Wells, through his post at the PlayStation Blog, is also happy to report that out of 34 reviews on Metacritic, Uncharted 2 scored perfect on 17, and none went under 90.

Naughty Dog Talk Uncharted On PSP, Jak & Daxter On PS3

With Uncharted 2 on the heels of a released on October 13th while receiving great praises as one of the best games to hit any console in a very long time.

An interview with Naughty Dog’s Evan Wells conducted by the Examiner has revealed some interesting clues regarding Jak & Daxter franchise, as well as the future of Uncharted franchise. When asked if Naughty Dog’s next project would be Jak & Daxter on Playstation 3, Evan responded, “I think you know I can’t answer that question. But I will say that all of us here love the Jak and Daxter franchise and would love to play in the universe again. Right now most of the studio is on a much deserved vacation and with all of the hard work that went into finishing Uncharted 2, we haven’t even decided what we’ll be working on when they get back.”

As for the future of Nathan Drake, Evan showed interest in the Uncharted franchise taking the jump to PSP, “We’d love to see Uncharted grow beyond the PS3. It would be interesting to see what sort of changes to the design one would make for a portable system. But right now Naughty Dog is purely focused on PS3 development so we can’t promise anything from us in the near future.”

So there you have it, Uncharted will eventually see the light on PSP/PSPGo and Jak & Daxter will be making an appearance on PS3 in the near future. Naughty Dog is a very AAA developer and they know there is a huge market for anything Jax & Dexter, it's a PlayStation mainstay.

PS3 Exclusive Uncharted 2: "The Perfect Game"

Uncharted for the PS3 is still one of the best games this generation. It shown off the awesome power of the PS3 Cell and shown that a game can be a movie like experience. On October 13th Naughty Dog will be releasing Uncharted 2 to the world of eagerly awaiting fanboys.

Judging by the early reviews around the net, Uncharted may be shaping up to be the best game to debut on any major home console. GamesRadar hands the PS3 exclusive a 10/10 score.

"So finally, Sony get its long-awaited killer-app," beams GamesRadar's Uncharted 2 review. "And what a beauty it is. Uncharted 2 not only sets benchmarks for visuals (the lighting effects alone are stunning), story and sheer fun, but it also sets a worryingly high target for all that follow it to match. Simply put, Uncharted 2 is a reason to own a PS3."

The US Official PlayStation Magazine agrees, calling it "this season's biggest PS3 victory", before slapping another 10/10 score on Drake's review record.

IGN.com writes "Really, you just wanted to know how good it is, and fortunately I can say that it's very, very good. It's easily one of the best games on the system, blending fantastic presentation and visuals with gameplay that is practically second to none. And then there's the stellar multiplayer which you'll probably be playing until Uncharted 3 ships. No, Uncharted 2 is not perfect, but it's closer than pretty much any other game out there these days."
